About UsWe are a small eight acre farm located in the mountains of western North Carolina, in the town of Pisgah Forest, about 30 minutes south and west of Asheville. We are dedicated to sustainably and naturally grown produce, including apples and other tree fruits, berries and other small fruits, and a wide selection of seasonal vegetables. In addition, we also grow and hybridize daylilies and bearded iris.

Who We Are |
Chris Shea is a veterinarian with a passion for gardening. His wife Betsy is his biggest supporter. Their dog Connie, a Scottish Terrier, is their joy.

Our History |
Our journey started in 2000 on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The climate (and sandy soil) are a real challenge to growing almost everything, and so, when the opportunity arose two years ago to move to the mountains, we jumped at it. This area is not without its challenges, as well, but the soil and climate are much more conducive to gardening.
